Energy Conservation for Ohioans (ECO-Link) Program

About ECO-Link

The Energy Conservation for Ohioans (ECO-Link) program is designed to provide reduced rate financing through partnering banks for Ohioans completing “whole home” weatherization and energy efficient improvements in their homes. ECO-Link provides the powerful lending resources needed to allow homeowners to enjoy a more comfortable home, realize the saving from energy efficient products, and develop Ohio as a leader in the developing green economy.

How the Treasury Invests Your Hard Earned Money to Help Save You Money

ECO-Link is NOT a loan through the Treasury but rather a strategic investment with lenders for the purpose of investing in Ohio communities and growing our economy.

1. The Treasury purchases an investment with a qualifying bank at a discounted rate on behalf of customers who are implementing energy efficient improvements in their homes.

2. The lender then agrees to pass along the discounted savings to the customer in the form of an interest rate reduction of 3% for 5 years on eligible bank loans.

3. Through the life of the loan, the customer pays the bank and the bank then returns the money back to the Treasury.
