Dayton Daily News: Beavercreek launches online checkbook

Dayton Daily News
April 1, 2016

BEAVERCREEK — The city of Beavercreek announced today the launch of its online checkbook on www.OhioCheckbook.com.

Beavercreek’s online checkbook includes more than 50,000 individual transactions that represent more than $84 million of total spending over the past three years.

Beavercreek is the first city in Greene County to post its spending on OhioCheckbook.com. It can be viewed at www.Beavercreek.OhioCheckbook.com.

In December 2014, Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel launched OhioCheckbook.com, which sets a new national standard for government transparency and for the first time in Ohio history puts all state spending information on the internet.

More than 610 local governments and school districts have committed to partnering with OhioCheckbook.com.
