Ann has more than 30 years of management consulting experience with the federal government in the areas of financial management, financial process improvement, program evaluation, shared services, and in providing project management and advisory support services for the implementation of accounting, acquisition, travel and grant management systems (ERP).
She has spent the last 26 years of her career at Booz Allen Hamilton, recently retiring after serving as a Vice President in the Financial Services group. She began her career providing financial support to many large Navy shipbuilding and communications engineering programs. Since 1995, she has focused her attention on the civilian agencies, developing new clients, building high performing teams, and developing and executing strategic plans for providing management and technical support services to organizations including the USAID, EPA, GSA, U.S. Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Justice, Labor, State and VA, and most recently to World Bank, International Monetary Fund, InterAmerican Development Bank and Fannie Mae. Internal to Booz Allen, she also provided leadership to the Financial Analyst functional community of practice, identifying competencies and applicable certifications required and supported monthly topical learning sessions as well as serving in several other governance roles.
Ann has a B.S. degree in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech, an M.S. Degree in Systems Management from the University of Denver, and is a certified Project Management Professional. She has been a member of AGA for more than 15 years and served as Booz Allen’s representative to the Corporate Partner Advisory Group (CPAG).
She lives in Alexandria with her husband Alan and together they have four grown children.
Like many in the past, this year is shaping up to be another year of
change. This session will provide an overview of recent economic,
industry, regulatory, and professional developments that impact auditors of
state and local governments. Included in this session will be
developments from Congress, the U.S. Office of Management and Budget, the
Government Accountability Office, and other regulatory bodies.
Nothing else matters unless you can extract the proper data from
various sources. This session includes obtaining data from the web and
other data bases such as Access. This session also demonstrates a query,
dynamic name ranges linked to a chart and other useful database productivity
and reporting tools and applications.

An economist with more than 25 years of experience, Dr. George Mokrzan is Director of Economics for Huntington Private Bank / Wealth and Investment Management and Huntington National Bank. In that capacity, he provides economic analysis and commentary to management and clients, giving them insight into the global economy as well as the local economies served by Huntington. Dr. Mokrzan first joined Huntington in 1996. He has been recognized as an important source to turn to for commentary on employment, manufacturing and international trade and its impact on the Midwest.
Previously, Dr. Mokrzan was both the Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Economic Advisory Committee of the American Bankers’ Association. For 10 years he served on this national committee that meets regularly with policy officials. He is a panelist for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia Livingston Survey and also serves on the CNN Money Economist Poll.
Prior to his career at Huntington, he was the senior economist covering Australia and New Zealand for WEFA, Inc., an economic consulting firm in Philadelphia. Immediately out of graduate school, he taught economics in the S.U.N.Y. system.
Dr. Mokrzan earned a doctorate in economics from Duke University in 1990, with a specialization in macroeconomics, international economics and econometrics. He earned a master’s degree in economics from Duke University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Rochester.
Participants will hear directly from a Senior Technical Manager from the AICPA Audit and Attest Standards Team as to recently issued standards and guidance for audits and attestation engagements for nonpublic entities. Participants will have an opportunity participate in an interactive discussion during which questions will be answered. Included will be discussion of:

Michael P. (Mike) Glynn is a Senior Technical Manager in the AICPA Audit and Attest Standards Team. In this capacity, Mike serves as the staff liaison to the Accounting and Review Services Committee (ARSC). In addition, Mike supports the activities of Auditing Standards Board (ASB) and its subcommittees by assisting members in drafting and deliberating authoritative professional standards and interpretations.Prior to joining the Audit and Attest Standards Team, Mike was a technical manager in the AICPA SEC Practice Section (SECPS). In that capacity, Mike supported the Quality Control Inquiry Committee (QCIC) by participating in deliberations of QCIC cases and participating in meetings with the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding the SEC’s oversight of the self-regulatory process. Prior to joining the SECPS, Mike was a technical manager in the AICPA Professional Ethics Division.Prior to joining the AICPA in April 1998, Mike worked at Ernst & Young LLP in New York. Mike also serves as a member of the New York State Society of CPAs’ Accounting and Review Services Committee. Mike is a graduate of Pace University with a BBA in public accounting.
