New Federal Procurement Standards, based on the Uniform Guidance for Federal Grants, became effective on July 1, 2018. This session will cover the changes and how they affect school district treasurers and current practices for procurement.
This session will increase the attendee's working knowledge of federal procurement requirements. This information can then be transferred to making reasonable purchasing decisions for the district. Making these decisions is paramount to the Auditor of State guidelines for schools. Federal funding could be affected should districts not be aware of these requirements, thus making this session a necessary professional development opportunity for all school district treasurers.
