This course will cover an overview of the U.S. economy, ORC policy investments, and trends in public school finance. The material provided for this course will encompass a plethora of information pertaining to:
1. Current economic climate affecting the short term liquidity and investment structure of Ohio public entities. a) Interest rate scrnarios (how the current environment will affect income today and in the future) b) cash management reinvestment ideas c) help identify and potentially mitigate potential pitfalls in the cash management environment.
2. Provide specific product knowledge pertaining to the various types of investments allowable under the Ohio Revised Code. a) Utilizing the investment options to maximize income return-minimizing risks.
