This course will cover an overview of current issues that will impact the May 2024 five-year forecast including: a review of potential concerns over property values in reappraisals, the impact of lowering the 20 mill floor which impacts 374 districts, updates on fair school funding plan and finally reviewing the new state funding projector for FY25 just released by the Department of Workforce and Education. The discussion will also include FY25 DEW funding simulations and how they impact the forecast for FY25-28 with the record high assessed values.

This course will cover an overview of considerations related to non-teaching contracts and contract non-renewal, including procedures and HR considerations related to employment, discipline, and non-renewal practices.

This seminar is designed to develop a general understanding of the role and responsibilities of district personnel when managing grants (with an emphasis on federal education grants), provide knowledge and best practices in the area of grants management, and discuss requirements outlined in the Uniform Guidance.

This seminar will provide updates on the Fair School Funding Plan and will provide participants with the tools and resources necessary to demonstrate fiscal accountability, engage stakeholders for student success, and discuss best practices around communication and collaboration.

This seminar is designed to integrate modules from the Essentials Curriculum offered by OASBO with an emphasis on content focused for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year (April, May, June).  Specific areas covered in each quarter include CCIP, EMIS and budget-related content.
