Course Details: Cyber Essentials – Planning for the Future of Cybersecurity
Target Audiences: School Districts
This course will cover an overview of the multiple areas of cybersecurity required to insure overall protection of student and staff data. It will also review the cybersecurity basic essentials that districts can control and should be implemented as a standard practice. In conclusion, the course will discuss where to get started, the critical need for a disaster recovery and Incident response plan, how to budget for Cybersecurity, and the challenges facing IT.
The course will provide essential information to the school business officials so they can communicate and verify the basic essentials of cybersecurity actions their districts should engage in, next level requirements, and how to get started on a cybersecurity roadmap. This information and subsequent actions are necessary to protect district and student data and position the district for their cyber liability renewal.
