Statement from Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague on the Passage of S.B. 241
Ohio Gains Earns Senate Support
COLUMBUS – The following statement may be attributed to Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague regarding the Ohio Senate’s passage of Senate Bill 241, legislation to advance the Ohio Gains initiative:
“Whether it’s skyrocketing energy and fertilizer prices or the ongoing supply chain issues, Ohio’s agriculture community is facing no shortage of challenges going into this growing season. Today’s passage of Senate Bill 241 brings us one step closer to modernizing the Ag-LINK program so it can keep pace with the diverse borrowing needs of all of Ohio’s agriculture sector.
“These changes – combined with additional innovative reforms to support our hospitals and universities – will go a long way in maximizing the power and impact of our state’s balance sheet. I applaud the Ohio Senate for putting its support behind Ohio Gains, and I thank Senators Cirino and Rulli for sponsoring this important legislation.”
