Village of Bradford Joins OhioCheckbook.com

Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague today announced that the Village of Bradford (Miami County) has joined OhioCheckbook.com

“Taxpayers deserve to know how their hard-earned dollars are spent,” said Treasurer Sprague. “Making spending information accessible empowers Ohioans to get involved in the decisions impacting their communities.”

The Village of Bradford is the fifth village in Miami County to join OhioCheckbook.com. The village’s online checkbook includes more than 4,300 individual transactions that represent over $6.2 million in spending from January 2017 through May 2019.

“The Village of Bradford is pleased to announce that we are joining the school district and library in the implementation of the Ohio Checkbook,” said Brenda Selanders, Village of Bradford Fiscal Officer. “We feel this resource will allow another layer of transparency to our residents in showing where their money is being spent. As always, please call the village office should you have any questions.”

Since its launch, OhioCheckbook.com has garnered the interest of those hoping to learn more about how Ohio’s tax dollars are spent.
