Village of Dalton Joins OhioCheckbook.com

Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague today announced that the Village of Dalton (Wayne County) has joined OhioCheckbook.com

“I’m happy to announce this important partnership and commend the Village of Dalton for its commitment to transparency” said Treasurer Sprague. “Village residents now have an inside look at how their tax dollars are managed and spent.”

The Village of Dalton is the sixth village in Wayne County to join OhioCheckbook.com. The village’s online checkbook includes over 900 individual transactions that represent nearly $1.5 million in spending from January 1 through July 31, 2019.

“The good people of this village deserve to know how their hard-earned dollars are spent,” said Cheryl Drew, Village of Dalton Fiscal Officer. “That is why I am so glad to have set up the Ohio Checkbook for the residents of Dalton. This tool will serve as a resource to track the village’s expenditure items.”

Since its launch, OhioCheckbook.com has garnered the interest of those hoping to learn more about how Ohio’s tax dollars are spent.
