Village of Rendville Joins OhioCheckbook.gov

COLUMBUS – Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague today announced that the Village of Rendville (Perry County) has joined OhioCheckbook.gov.

“Greater transparency makes it easier for taxpayers to get involved in the decisions impacting their communities,” said Treasurer Sprague. “We’re proud to welcome the Village of Rendville to OhioCheckbook.gov and put government spending at residents’ fingertips.”

The Village of Rendville is the 10th government entity in Perry County to join OhioCheckbook.gov. The village’s online checkbook includes more than 140 individual transactions that represent over $16,000 in spending from February 2017 through December 2019.

In June 2020, Lt. Governor Jon Husted and Treasurer Sprague unveiled OhioCheckbook.gov. The new transparency website combined OhioCheckbook.com (previously administered by the Treasurer’s office) and Ohio’s Interactive Budget (previously operated by the Office of Budget and Management) to create a single, one-stop resource for taxpayers to learn more about spending at the state and local levels of government.

By streamlining website administration, eliminating duplication, and reducing overall operating costs, OhioCheckbook.gov will keep government transparency at taxpayers’ fingertips for years to come
