Financial literacy education
Treasurer Sprague believes an individual’s path to success starts at an early age. Financial literacy education is a critical component to ensure Ohio’s youth are ready to navigate the challenges that adulthood and the ‘real world.’
In January 2020, Treasurer Sprague launched the Compass Awards to recognize the organizations and individuals across Ohio who are working to advance financial literacy and empowerment. Compass Award honorees have demonstrated a proven record of success in preparing youth to make wise future financial decisions. Through their work, Compass Award honorees are making a lasting impact on Ohio’s young people and helping them to set course on a path to futures success.
